ITAD and e-Waste |
IT Asset Disposition (usually referred to as ITAD) is the practice of properly decommissioning and disposing of hardware and electronic devices and is part of Secure Transportation's portfolio of services handling our clients product lifecycle management. It is critical for ensuring your company’s data is protected and that your end of life equipment doesn’t end up in the wrong hands or landfill.
Depending on a clients' specific requirements or operating procedures, Secure Transportation can either process the equipment onsite, or securely transport it offsite to our warehouse facility close to London Heathrow Airport. |
Stage 1
- Whichever option is chosen, we can pre sort the equipment, compile our own asset register and then cross reference this with the client if they have one.
- Removal of all visible asset tags ensuring electronic devices can no longer be traced back to your company.
Stage 2
This ensures that your proprietary data cannot be leaked, and the electronic devices can no longer be tied back to your organization.

Stage 3
- Finally, the equipment can either be stored for reuse, recycled, or donated.
Secure Transportation have our own Waste Electrical and Electronic Equipment (WEEE) recycling partner who are a regulated and Approved Authorised Treatment Facility (AATF) and will issue the necessary certification to prove your electronic waste has been legally disposed of.under the Waste Electrical and Electronic Equipment
