Whilst the business has steadily evolved over this period to provide a range of other bespoke services tailored to suit our clients exact needs, we still criss cross the UK & Europe at a moment's notice ensuring our clients' precious goods reach their destination exactly when they want them to. Often referred to in the industry as "a special" and ideally suited for when an overnight pallet or parcel service is quite simply not good enough. UK Same Day Courier
Secure Transportation provide same day courier time critical services using our own plain un-sign written company vehicles with uniformed drivers. We operate a fleet of vehicles ranging from 3.5t GVW (gross vehicle weight) vans to HGV (heavy goods vehcile) lorries.
New for 2024, Secure Transportation have added 12 and 18t computer spec'd HGV lorries with 2.5t cantilver tail lifts and payloads from 4000 to 7000 kg respectively. We can also supply HGV's of 26t & 44t articulated lorries through an approved partner service.
Our 3.5t GVW vans have payloads ranging from 900 to 1400 kg and include several "Luton" tail lifts with fully adjustable air ride suspension. Other vehicles are equipped with ramps and have the option of one of our mobile fork trucks.

European Transport & Logistics
Secure Transportation Ltd have a Standard International Goods Vehicle Operators Licence for 3 HGV's and 12 light goods vehicles with 4 UK Licences for the Community and can provide a courier delivery and collection service to all European countries including full customs clearance and documentation using our own customs agent.
We can additionally provide clients with highly specialised logistics support on a project basis anywhere in Europe within 24 - 48 hours after the word go.

What the Law Says
As of the 21st May 2022 it is a legal requirement for all transport companies and couriers who need to to use vans, car and trailers over 2.5 tonnes, to transport goods for hire or reward in the EU, Iceland, Liechtenstein, Norway and Switzerland, to have a standard international goods vehicle operator licence.

- vans with a maximum authorised mass (MAM) over 2,500kg (2.5 tonnes) and up to and including 3,500kg (3.5 tonnes)
- vans towing a trailer with a gross train weight (GTW) over 2.5 tonnes and up to and including 3.5 tonnes
- cars towing a trailer with a GTW over 2.5 tonnes and up to and including 3.5 tonnes
You do not need a goods vehicle operator licence if any of these apply:
- you only use your vehicles in the UK
- you are transporting goods not for ‘hire or reward’
