Last job of the week for us and the second visit down to our clients clients' villa in the hills above Saint Tropez on the beautiful French Riviera. Could think of worst ways of spending a Sunday! Our Renault Trafic made the trip in one hit. 12 hour / 750 mile drive from Calais and my son has deserved a well earned beer and a swim in the hotel pool. Parked up now in Saint Maxime ready for the return trip.

We are truly pleased that the ABTT Theatre Show has finally found a transport friendly venue in Alexandra Palace, gone are the bad memories of the Truman Brewery in Brick Lane or even worse the nightmarish experiences of the Horticultural Halls in Victoria!

The last job of 2017's first quarter saw Secure Transportation collect their clients NEC 84" Touch Screen Display from 5 Star Cases in Wisbeach Cambridgeshire where it was having final measurements taken for a bespoke flight case and then deliver it to the set builder in the New Forest ready for the first event.

For this Pro AV movement we once again used our hydraulic lifters. Positioned at either end of the screen and strapped securely this specialist handling equipment can lift up to 1800kg and makes manoeuvring large awkward items an easy task. 

All our vehicles are equipped for the transportation of Pro AV equipment. Tail lifts or ramps, load lok, straps and blankets all come as standard  to ensure all your kit arrives as it left. A little nostalgia for those young enough ;) to remember the old Victorian swimming baths. 

We have been lugging Pro AV kit around Europe for over 20 years.  More often than not mixing desks. Back in the day it was a regular occurrence to get a call at the last moment and have to load up a huge analogue desk in one of the vans to some far off gig.  From MTV Winter Jam to the Eurockeennes Festival we have seen some great sights.

Despite all that wonderful European scenery along the way it was this job back in 2014 up at the Manchester Victoria Baths http://www.victoriabaths.org.uk where we were tasked with collecting our clients SSL demo desk that brought back some really fond memories of being taught to swim by my Dad at the similar ones in Hounslow, West London all those years ago.

December 2016 an SOS was put out by one of our clients late Friday night to courier some urgent equipment out to the P&O Oriana which was undergoing a refit in dry dock Hamburg, Germany. Apparently a major overnight carrier had failed to deliver and the Oriana was due on sea trials on the Monday. With no other option we drove the 600 miles from Heathrow to Hamburg, successfully delivering the equipment by Saturday afternoon. 

Over 21 years of UK & European transport has taken us to some very interesting places, and sights that not everyone gets to see.
