A Late Summer PoC Lab Move

Easy as 1 - 2 - 3

Back in early September we moved our clients London based PoC lab from South of the River Thames to their beautiful new office located in Pudding Lane, famous for the start of the Great Fire of London back in 1666! Picture right is one of the last chassis's being re racked, a Juniper MX960, flanked by 2 x Juniper PTX 5000's). Getting them in was as easy as 1 2 3, using our chassis lift and slide system (CLASS™) http://www.secure-transportation.co.uk/blog/our-chassis-lift-slide-system-has-evolved BUT getting them out was a completely different story! After site surveys were done and the date set, the de rack took place from their 3rd floor office next to the Shard Skyscraper in Southwark. With no parking out the front for security reasons and around the back what can only be described as a "bomb site", it was always going to be a challenge!

If you need to dig yourself out of a big hole make sure you always have the right tools for the job

With a lift too small to accommodate the OEM packing crates or any of our flight cases and 2 steps exiting the building to this "bomb site" of a car park (they are demolishing for redevelopment but have found over 70 bodies there hence the excavation!) it was always going to be difficult. Fortunately the weather was on our side and we have all the necessary equipment to overcome any obstacle that is put in our way.
