A few of our latest projects
Another new "fintech" client who relocated from a Berkshire DC to Virtus in Hayes (our home town close to London Heathrow) This relocation took place out of hours on a Sunday to minimise network disruption. Decommissioning various HP servers in Harbour Exchange and relocating them back to our clients London office using some of our SKB 192 roto shock mount flight cases. After a stressful couple of days with both our Renaults having to go in to the dealer for warranty work I was relieved after a phone call to one of our regular clients that the equipment needed de racking and transporting from Manchester to Fareham was located in the bottom of the rack. This meant I could use our smallest van with our low level hydraulic lift.
Equipment de racked and securely packed then stored in our warehouse for a few days until we re racked it in our clients Fareham datacentre suite.
De rack
Re rack
Thrown a bit of a curve ball as the 2 Juniper Networks MX480's were going in to old Ericsson 19" telephone system racks! Bit of creative thinking in order to get them re racked securely. Another job in the pipeline - decommission the old Ericsson kit and put in new racks. Project took a little longer than expected and a broken phone to boot! Don't leave your phone on the floor when working ;)
